Our Curriculum
Children experience a broad based, well balanced curriculum which develops the whole child. We aim to empower young people to achieve their full potential and to make informed and responsible decisions. Through teaching and learning experiences pupils develop as individuals and contributors to society.
Children’s learning experiences are always interactive, practical and enjoyable. Teachers make use of a wide range of teaching methods, balancing whole class, group paired and individual activities, to engage children in effective learning. In the Foundation Stage (P1 and P2) much of the learning takes place through well planned, challenging outdoor and indoor play.
Children are given the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the following subjects.
- LANGUAGE AND LITERACY
- THE ARTS
- RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
- PHYSICAL EDUCATION
- THE WORLD AROUND US
- PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING
- INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
